Salary Rank Calculator (Korea)

Trending tests first — plus handy calculators

'What percentile is my salary?' is a question almost everyone wonders about. This tool estimates where your salary sits among Korean wage earners, based on the National Tax Service's annually published wage-income percentile data.

It's a reference for a rough sense of position, not an exact ranking. Here's how it works and where it falls short.

What is the ranking based on?

The basis is the gross salary of wage earners. It reflects only employment income — not business income, capital gains, or freelance income. So read it as 'your rank among salaried employees.'

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it based on gross or net?

Gross annual salary. Enter your contract salary, not take-home pay, to match the statistics.

Why do different sites show different ranks?

It depends on which year's tax data is used and whether it counts only wage income or all combined income. This tool uses wage income (gross salary of employees).

Can freelancers or the self-employed use it?

The underlying data is for wage earners, so it won't fit precisely if you only have business income. Treat it as a loose reference.
